Use a string or cloth tape to measure around the dog's neck.  Measure just under the jaw and around the neck directly behind the ears. The string or cloth tape must be tight to get a proper measurement.  There should be no space between the dog's neck and the tape measure or string. If the measurement falls between two sizes, round down to the next smaller size.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003eDo not add any additional length to the measurement for slack.  If a dominant dog collar is too large it will not be as effective for training.  A properly fit collar will remain in place and not slide down the dog's neck.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp
